No me acuerdo haber visto nada súper específico.

Esencial. Punto. (O eso pensé…)
  • Internet (General): Bien, bien. No me dio problema.
  • Internet [LAN]: ¿LAN?

No tengo quejas.

Limpieza y Seguridad: Un Asunto Serio (y Necesario)

Comida, Bebida, y… ¡A Comer!

  • Restaurantes: ¡Hay varios!

Silencio ¡maravilloso!

  • ¿Necesitas trabajar o simplemente estar conectado?

Here we go. My Indonesian Adventure: Japa #4 and Beyond (Probably Beyond, Let's Be Honest)

A Travel Itinerary (More Like a General Ballpark Guess, Really)

Day 1: Arrival in Paradise (Or, Well, Kinda Paradise)

  • Am: Landing in Denpasar (DPS). Ugh, airports. Smelly, stressful, and WHY are all the seats so SMALL? Grabbed a cab (hopefully not a scam artist, fingers crossed!). Found it, I think, my destination: Japa #4. Note to self: Learn some basic Indonesian for negotiating taxi fares. "Mahal!" is probably a good start.
  • Mid-day: Check-in. Japa #4… oh, it's GLORIOUS. The garden view is actually, you know, a GARDEN. Real plants! I had to pinch myself: Am I really here? It's warm, humid, and smells of… well, I don't know what, but it's GOOD.
  • Afternoon: Unpack (sort of, more like a chaotic pile of clothes). Attempt to meditate (failed miserably). Started writing in my journal. Journal entry: "OMG, butterflies! Huge, colorful butterflies! I feel like a Disney princess."
  • Evening: Exploring the property. Tried to figure out where the pool is. Got lost, tripped over a stray kitten (adorable!), and finally found the pool. It's even more beautiful than the photos. Dip? Definitely. Dinner at the property's restaurant. Food observation: The rice is fluffy. The fruit is sweet. The chili is… well, it's fiery. I think I'm in love.

Day 2: Temples, Tantrums, and Tacos… Wait, Tacos?

  • Am: Decided to visit the famous Taman Ujung water palace. Rented a scooter (gulp). Rode, very cautiously, through Balinese traffic. It's organized chaos! Scooters EVERYWHERE. Almost crashed like, five times. Good thing I have good travel insurance. Beautiful temples and pools and my favorite, the air smells like incense.
  • Mid-day: Lunch. Tried to order "Nasi Goreng." Ended up with something else. Tasted great anyway. Anecdote: I tried to haggle the price of a souvenir. I think I offended the shop owner. Oops.
  • Afternoon: I was supposed to go see the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, but I was sunburnt and was crying in my room. Why am I crying? I don't know I hate myself. At least I got a lot of sleep.
  • Evening: Dinner. Found a tiny, hole-in-the-wall restaurant. They were serving tacos. Because, why not? The tacos were surprisingly amazing! It's like, I'm in Bali, but also in, like, taco heaven. Quirky observation: Indonesia and Mexican food, an unlikely but delicious combo.

Day 3: Into the Jungle (Literally Maybe)

  • Am: Decided to go trekking. Booked a tour! It has to be a good experience. They said it was "easy." They lied! It was hot, humid, and I was sweating like a pig. But the views were insane. Lush vegetation, hidden waterfalls… it was breath-taking.
  • Mid-day: Got a little lost during the trek. Not the tour guide! ME. Fell into a muddy puddle. Covered in mud and pride. Emotional reaction: Pure, unadulterated joy! And also, a bit of "Oh, crap, I’m covered in mud."
  • Afternoon: Found a small waterfall. It was heaven. The water was cool and refreshing. I just sat and watched the water flowing with the sounds of nature. It restored me.
  • Evening: Massage. Oh, dear sweet mama. The most amazing-est massage of my life. I think I might have fallen asleep. Woke up feeling like a new person. Dinner at a restaurant that I am not going to name, but lets just say it was not very good.
  • Late Night: Back at Japa #4. Writing another journal entry. Journal Entry: "Today was amazing, exhausting, muddy, and glorious. I feel fully alive."

Day 4: Diving, Decisions, and Disasters (Maybe)

  • Am: I decided to go diving. I am a very bad diver. It went horribly. I was so claustrophobic. It was a total disaster. Now I understand why people love it. I did not.
  • Mid-day: Now I am trying to figure out what I want to change about my itinerary. I am thinking about going to Gili Trawangan. Still considering it.
  • Afternoon: I did some yoga, and felt a bit better. Also I got some gelato. It was good.
  • Evening: I am going to take some shots and rethink everything. Wish me luck.

Day 5: Part of My Soul Left Me

  • Am: I have a feeling my wallet is missing.
  • Mid-day: I realized I lost my debit card.
  • Afternoon: I am going back to the airport.

Day 6: Back Home

  • Am: I am home. I miss Bali.

Postscript:

This is, of course, just a rough draft. Things WILL go wrong. I will get lost, probably get sunburned, maybe cry a bit. That’s what makes it an adventure! The mess, the imperfections, the unexpected moments… they’re all part of the story. And I can't wait to experience it all. Wish me luck! And if you see me, offer me some sunscreen and a taco.

Japa #4 garden view , warm host IndonesiaOkay, here we go! Let's create a FAQ about... well, let's say **"Aprender a Bailar Salsa" (Learning to Dance Salsa)**, using the style guidelines you've perfectly laid out. Buckle up, it’s gonna be a bumpy, salsa-fueled ride!

¡Ay, Dios Mío! ¿Por dónde empiezo? (Oh my God! Where do I even begin?)

¡Ah, la pregunta del millón! Where do you *actually* start, right? Honestly? I started, like, three times. First, I tried a free intro class at some fancy studio. Sounded great, ended up feeling like a total klutz. Second try? YouTube tutorials! That was a disaster. Me, alone in my living room, thrashing around like a confused octopus. The third time... success, more or less. Find a good studio! Look for one with beginner classes that are *actually* *beginner*. AND, and this is HUGE, *don't* be afraid to look ridiculous. You will! Everyone does. Embrace the awkward! Seriously, I once tripped over my own feet so hard during a simple forward-back step, I almost took out the instructor. Mortifying at the time, hilarious now.

¿Necesito un/a compañero/a para empezar? (Do I need a partner to start?)

Nope! Thank the heavens, NO! I'm single, okay? Dating apps are enough of a minefield, I didn't need to drag a potential partner into this. Most studios have partner rotations. You dance a few minutes with one person, then rotate. It's brilliant! It takes the pressure off, lets you meet people (bonus!), and helps you learn to follow (if you're a woman) or lead (if you're a man) with absolutely *everyone*. I remember my first time, I was terrified. But, I met a really encouraging older lady who was a *fantastic* follow, and it was a revelation! I felt like I could actually *do* this.

¿Cuánto cuesta el baile salsa? (How much does salsa dancing cost?)

Uff, the money question! Well, it depends. Cheaper than therapy... probably. But look, it varies. The classes generally range from affordable to, well, "ouch, my wallet!" Find a place that offers drop-in classes if you're unsure. Or look for group rates. And don’t forget the *shoes*! Proper salsa shoes are a game-changer. They're not essential at first (I started in sneakers, which is not recommended but I had no other choice), but they’ll make a HUGE difference. Expect to pay a bit more for those; they make you feel like a dancer. Don't go for the cheapest ones though! They can rip easily.

¿Soy demasiado viejo/a/joven para aprender? (Am I too old/young to learn?)

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! Absolutely not! I started in my late 30s, which, in my head, felt ancient. There are people of ALL ages in salsa classes. I've seen teenagers, septuagenarians, and everything in between. The beauty of salsa is it’s about the *feeling*, the connection, the joy of the music. Age? It's just a number! It's about having fun, moving your feet, and shaking off the stresses of the day. If you can still breathe, you can salsa! Trust me, the energy is infectious, and you get great exercise so what's the excuse?

¿Qué ropa me pongo? (What should I wear?)

Comfortable clothes – the most important! You'll be moving, sweating (oh, the sweat!), and potentially spinning around a lot. Avoid anything too restrictive. For the first few classes, you can get away with comfortable pants or a skirt, a t-shirt, and sneakers. But, once you start getting the hang of it, you'll want to dress up! That shiny dress, the flirty skirt, the dress pants. Wear clothes you feel good in, and that allow you to move freely. Avoid anything that will make you trip (long skirts). And BRING A TOWEL! It gets hot in there.

¿Es difícil aprender? (Is it difficult to learn?)

Yes and no. Yes, at first, it will feel like trying to learn a foreign language while juggling flaming torches. You’ll be stepping on your partner’s toes, feeling completely out of sync – I certainly did. The footwork can be tricky, and it takes time to build muscle memory. BUT... The instructors I've had, especially the good ones, are masters of breaking things down. They make it fun, they make it challenging in the right way, and they're incredibly patient. I was so frustrated that the first month, I had to go to the class several times. But honestly, after the first couple of months it's like everything clicked. It all came together! So, be patient, be persistent, and don't give up! The feeling when it *finally* clicks is incredible. Truly it's worth it!

¿Y si tengo dos pies izquierdos? (What if I have two left feet?)

Honey, *everyone* thinks they have two left feet at the beginning! I seriously considered changing my name just to avoid the embarrassment of my early attempts. That's the reason I failed at youtube videos. And that’s the reason I felt so ashamed. But the more you practice, the more you learn the steps. Don’t worry! The more you dance, the more comfortable you get. Some people are natural, some people, like me, need a lot of practice. You will. Besides, a little clumsiness is part of the charm! Your partner may laugh (politely, hopefully!), but the goal is to have fun. And I've seen some people with absolutely *no* rhythm become fantastic dancers!

¿Dónde puedo encontrar clases de salsa? (Where can I find salsa classes?)

Okay, Google is your friend here. Search for "salsa classes [your city/town]". Look at local dance studios, community centers, and even some gyms offer salsa classes. Ask around! Maybe you know someone who’s a salsa nut? I asked a coworker, and she gave me the name of her favorite studio. Also, check online for reviews. A good instructor is EVERYTHING. Read reviews and see what people are saying. Is the place friendly? Welcoming? Are the teachers patient? Those are crucial! Honestly, finding the right studio can be like finding a home. Don't settle for the first one you find. Go to a few different classes before you decide. You know, find the vibe that suits you.Hotelesya
