¡Dubai de Lujo: El DoubleTree by Hilton M Square te espera!
¡Ay, Dios mío, Dubai! El DoubleTree by Hilton M Square… ¡vamos a darle caña a esta review! Prepárense para una experiencia que va desde el lujo desenfrenado hasta, bueno, ya verán… ¡y todo en español!
¡Bienvenidos al Reino de los Detalles (y las Imperfecciones!)
Primero, una pre-advertencia: Esto no es un artículo de Wikipedia. No esperen perfección. Voy a contarles mi experiencia tal cual fue, con sus altibajos, sus “¡wow!” y sus “¿por qué, señor, por qué?”.
Acceso y Accesibilidad: ¿Para Todos… o Casi?
- Accesibilidad: Importantísimo, ¿verdad? Bueno, el DoubleTree intenta ser inclusivo… pero a veces parece que les falta un poco de "duende". Tienen ascensores (¡uf!), y instalaciones para personas con discapacidades, lo cual es un gran plus. PERO… Me gustaría ver más rampas sutiles aquí y allá. ¡Ojo con las distancias! Dubai es ENORME, y a veces, moverse dentro del mismo hotel puede ser un maratón…
- Check-in/out [express] y [private]: Me gusta que tengas opciones, pero la verdad, ¡a veces la espera es parte del ritual! Un poco de paciencia, un poquito de caos… El toque humano siempre le da sabor a todo.
- Parking: Libre y en el sitio: ¡Aleluya! En Dubai, el estacionamiento puede ser un dolor de cabeza. Aquí lo tienes, y gratis. ¡Un puntazo!
Internet: ¡Necesitamos Wifi, Señores!
- ¡WI-FI GRATIS en TODAS las habitaciones!: ¡Gloria! Una necesidad básica hoy en día. Además, en las áreas comunes, también tienen Wi-Fi en áreas públicas (¡otra vez, un gran plus!)
- Internet [LAN]: Para los old-school, también tienen conexión por cable en la habitación. ¿Quién usa eso hoy en día? ¡Pero ahí está! Por si acaso…
- Internet Services: Ya saben, acceso a internet… Es lo básico, pero es importante.
Cosas que Hacer, Relajarse y Disfrutar (¡y sufrir!)
- Fitness center, Gym/fitness: ¡A sudar la gota gorda! Si eres de los que se levantan a las seis de la mañana a correr en la cinta… ¡adelante! Yo prefiero la cama, pero bueno…
- Pool with view, Swimming pool, Swimming pool [outdoor]: ¡LAS PISCINAS! Aquí es donde la cosa se pone buena. Tienen una piscina al aire libre con vistas increíbles. Es un GRAN lugar para pasar la tarde, relajarse, tomar un cóctel… ¡Y hacer un poco de postureo en Instagram! (¡no me juzguen!) La verdad, el clima de Dubai invita a estar en remojo, y aquí lo puedes hacer con estilo.
- Spa, Spa/sauna, Sauna, Steamroom, Body scrub, Body wrap, Foot bath, Massage: ¡El paraíso! Literalmente. El spa del DoubleTree es… ¡WOW! Déjenme contarles mi experiencia (y esto es una excusa para contarles lo GENIAL que fue). Me regalé un masaje de una hora. El masajista (se llamaba Omar, creo) tenia unas manos milagrosas. Al principio, estaba tenso, como un alambre. Pero en cuanto Omar empezó a presionar esos puntos clave, me relajé completamente. Sentía que flotaba. ¡Flotaba! Salió convertido en una gelatina. Luego, a la sauna… ¡Una delicia! Y después, la sala de vapor… ¡Estuve a punto de quedarme a vivir allí! Si van, ¡no se pierdan el spa! ¡De verdad, es OBLIGATORIO!
- ¡Un momento! Al principio tenia mis dudas con todo este tema de "lujo"… Soy más de mochilero, ya saben. Pero… ¡Me conquistaron! El spa, la piscina… Me convertí en un jet-setter en un par de horas. ¡Que alguien me despierte!
Limpieza y Seguridad: ¡Ahora es cuando importa!

¡Ay, Dios mío! Planning a trip to Dubai… in this heat? Well, let's see if I can even survive this itinerary without spontaneously combusting. And, of course, it involves the DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai M Square Hotel & Residences. Fingers crossed it’s air-conditioned!
Dubai Disaster: A Whirlwind (and Possibly Sweaty) Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, Anticipation, and Airport Anxiety (and a LOT of water)
- 10:00 AM: Okay, so the flight was… an experience. Let's just say I accidentally elbowed a very important-looking businessman with a briefcase full of secrets. (Sorry, Mr. Important!). Landing in Dubai was gorgeous, the airport is HUGE and I forgot to apply myself with the arrival visas beforehand so it was a total disaster navigating the airport. Anyway, now I’m praying my luggage made it and that I don't accidentally end up on a camel trek to nowhere.
- 11:00 AM: Taxi to the DoubleTree. Hoping for a smooth ride, but I have a sneaking suspicion the driver thinks he's in a Formula 1 race.
- 12:00 PM: Check-in. Please, PLEASE tell me my room is ready. I'm picturing a refreshing oasis, not another sweaty purgatory. Finally, the staff is very friendly and patient with my jet lag. I love them already.
- 1:00 PM: Room reveal! (Moment of truth). Okay, it’s… nice. Clean. Air-conditioned (hallelujah!). The view? Meh. But hey, it's a room, and it's a break from that relentless sun. Immediate ritual: shower, change into the lightest clothes I own, and hydrate. Seriously, I'm drinking water like it's going out of style.
- 2:00 PM: A quick, solo adventure nearby the hotel. Explore a bit the shops and the atmosphere around. Then, after this, I'll allow myself a quick nap because I'm tired.

- 6:00 PM: Pool time! The key to survive this trip will be the pool. I'm in serious need of some vitamin D (and to avoid further sunburn). Swim, recline, repeat. I love the warm weather, but I hate the hot weather, so yeah, I'll remain in the pool for a while.
- 8:00 PM: Dinner at the hotel restaurant. More delicious food! I'm starting to think I'm becoming a food critic… a hungry one.
- 9:00 PM: Sleep. Exhausted (in the best way). Jet lag is starting to hit, but tomorrow is another wild card of an adventure.
Day 2: Souks, Sand, and… Sandboarding?
- 8:00 AM: Wake up. Eat breakfast. Make a quick coffee, and make plans for the day.
- 9:00 AM: Head to the Spice Souk and Gold Souk. Oh. My. Gosh. The smells, the vibrant colors, the haggling! I'm overwhelmed in the best way possible. I'm not sure I'll buy anything (I'm terrible at haggling), but it's fun to just soak It all in. This is what I came to Dubai for! I already got two perfumes for me!
- 12:00 AM: Lunch at a local, hole-in-the-wall place. I'm not sure what I ate, but it was incredible. And cheap! I'm starting to get the hang of this cultural immersion thing.
- 1:00 PM: Afternoon Desert Safari: I booked this in advance like a responsible human being (for once). We're talking dune bashing, camel riding, and… sandboarding. I'm slightly terrified of sandboarding. Like, I'm pretty sure I'm going to wipe out spectacularly. But hey, when in Dubai, right? (Prepare for photos of me looking absolutely ridiculous).
- 4:00 PM: Dune Bashing: This was hilarious!, felt like a crazy roller coaster. My driver, a lovely man named Omar, seemed to think it was a game to get us as dizzy as possible. Mission accomplished!
- 5:00 PM: After the dune bashing, now is camel riding time! It was nice, if a little awkward. Let's just say camels aren't exactly known for their comfort. But I can cross "riding a camel" off my bucket list!
- 6:00 PM: Evening at the camp enjoying the live music, the fire, and the food!
- 9:00 PM: Back at the hotel. Exhausted and sandy and amazing. I already feel some sunburns, but it's worth it. I'm ready to sleep!
Day 3: Sky High, Sensory Overload, and Farewell (For Now)
- 9:00 AM: Breakfast, quick swim, and some relaxed time in the hotel. I need a slower start today after yesterday's adventure!
- 11:00 AM: Burj Khalifa. Seriously, the views are breathtaking. I swear I could see the entire world from up there. My stomach did a few flips, but I'm so glad I went. It's an experience, not just a building.
- 1:00 PM: Lunch near the Burj Khalifa. The restaurants are fancy and expensive, but the food is good and the view is amazing.
- 2:00 PM: Dubai Mall. Oh. My. Goodness. Retail therapy is a serious option. I'm not even a big shopper, but the sheer size and spectacle of it all is… overwhelming. And the aquarium! Wow!
- 4:00 PM: A final relaxing pool time.
- 6:00 PM: Farewell dinner at the hotel. Reflecting on the trip. I'm still processing how incredible this experience was.
- 8:00 PM: Packing. Ugh, this is the worst part. I need a bigger suitcase.
- 9:00 PM: Reflecting on the trip again. I went to Dubai and I'm coming back home! How incredible is that feeling? Already, I can feel the nostalgia. I never wanted to leave this place.

Day 4: Departure and Dreams of Dubai
- Early Morning: Taxi to the airport. Goodbye, Dubai! It's been sweaty, crazy, and utterly unforgettable. Thanks to the DoubleTree for being a (relatively) cool haven in the middle of the desert.
- Flight: I'll be dreaming about souks, sunsets, and the sheer audacity of attempting sandboarding. Until the next adventure!

Aquí viene la parte importante. Está en Bur Dubai, ¿vale? O sea, no estás *justo* en el Burj Khalifa, pero tampoco en medio del desierto. Está bastante bien conectado al metro, que es lo que usé yo… porque soy un poco *codo* y los taxis… ¡ay, madre! Pero bueno, el metro es limpio, eficiente… y te ahorras un dineral.
**Divagacion**: Soy una persona de andar mucho, de perderme por las calles, de descubrir rincones… Y desde el hotel, podías hacer eso. No tan rápido, claro, Dubai es enorme, pero era *factible*. Y eso, para mí, es un plus. Aunque, honestamente, después de un día entero caminando, la cama del hotel era como… el cielo. Ya lo dije, ¿verdad? La cama… la cama…
3. ¿El desayuno… es “desayuno de hotel” normal o algo… *especial*? Porque el desayuno es importante. Muy importante.
¡El DESAYUNO! ¡Aquí, atención, porque es IMPORTANTE! Olvídate del café aguado y los croissants de plástico. (Ok, quizá había algún que otro croissant que… bueno, no era *precisamente* artesanal.) **Anécdota reveladora**: Un día, me perdí de camino a la piscina (no me pregunten cómo). Estuve dando vueltas por los pasillos, como un alma en pena, hasta que me crucé con un chico de recepción.
